Stefanie is a media architect, scholar and educator. She incorporates technological and media perspectives into architecture using programming and sensor-based technologies. She explores the boundaries between architecture and material environment in order to underscore the environmental awareness and potentials of technology. She is particularly interested in functional aspects of "intelligent" spaces, new concepts of interactivity in space and the development of innovative information systems.

Development and implementation of digital educational programs for various age groups form another important part of her work. In technology and coding workshops for the ReDI School of Digital Integration, Start Coding e.V., TU Berlin Summer University, Stefanie teaches the fundamentals of programming, digital storytelling, and digital fabrication. Stefanie also offers bespoke workshops and courses for various organizations, venues and target groups.
