Simon is a research associate and PhD candidate at the DFG research training group 'Locating Media', University of Siegen, where he investigates the sociology and culture of predictive data science. Focusing on the example of climate scenarios, he is interested how we think about the future by means of computer simulation.

Simon has been working as a visiting scientist at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research, a researcher at the University of Potsdam a policy consultant for the Berlin-based think tank adelphi. He is a Co-founder of deix.is, a maplab in Berlin.
