Markus Kreßler

Markus Kreßler ist Co-Founder von Kiron Open Higher Education, einer Blended-Learning Bildungseinrichtung für Geflüchtete. Zuvor baute er die erste digitale deutsche Ehrenamtsplattform Alltagsheld.org auf. Während seines Studiums der Psychologie an der Universität Mannheim setzte er sich besonders mit sozial-unternehmerischen Fragestellungen sowie digitalen Lösungsansätzen im Bereich Migration auseinander. Markus Kressler arbeitete in der strategischen Unternehmensberatung und rief ein Projekt für obdachlose Minderjährige ins Leben. Die psychosoziale Beratung für Geflüchtete bewegte ihn 2015 dazu, zusammen mit Vincent Zimmer Kiron zu gründen. Markus Kressler is the Co-Founder of Kiron Open Higher Education, a blended-learning education institute for refugees. Prior to this, he built the first digital German volunteer platform Alltagsheld.org. During his studies in psychology at the University of Mannheim, he concentrated on social-entrepreneurial issues, as well as digital approaches in the field of migration. Markus Kressler worked in strategic consultancy and created a project for under-aged homeless people. The psychosocial counseling for refugees brought him to found Kiron in 2015 together with Vincent Zimmer. At Kiron he is mainly leading the departments of social innovations and communications.

    Kiron Open Higher Education is a nonprofit EdTech organization that uses digital innovation to provide refugees with access to quality higher education. Kiron’s unique online platform offers access to quality online courses, crafted curricula, helpful guidance and a supportive community. Kiron is currently active in Germany and Jordan.
