Jonas Vollmer is an activist, teacher for civic education and researcher. As founder and chairman of the NGO and platform Selbstbestimmt.Digital e.V., he manages workshops and public events to foster digital empowerment of citizens within Germany and Europe.Through his studies and research activites in Germany, France and Brazil, Jonas Vollmer is skilled in Political Science, Sociology, History and German Literature/Linguistics. Furthermore, he has experience in teaching (university, high-school-level, vocational education and training), Public Relations and Marketing in South America and Europe. Actually, Jonas Vollmer is responsible for civic education and workshops on digital skills within the vocational education and training system in Germany. His main areas of interest for activism and research are: Youth, political culture and surveillance, Mixed Methods Research, digital empowerment cooperations between the civic society in South America and Europe.
