Steven Hill is a political journalist and lecturer. He is journalist-in-residence at the Wissenschaftszentrum Berlin für Sozialforschung (WZB, or Berlin Social Science Center). The author of seven books, his most recent is "Die Startup Illusion: Wie die Internet- Ökonomie unseren Sozialstaat ruiniert" (Droemer Knaur). His previous books include "Raw Deal: How the 'Uber Economy' and Runaway Capitalism Are Screwing American Workers" (www.RawDealBook.com), which was selected by The Globalist as one of the Top Ten Books of 2015; also the internationally-praised "Europe’s Promise: Why the European Way is the Best Hope in an Insecure Age" and "10 Steps to Repair American Democracy". His articles and media interviews have appeared in the New York Times, Washington Post, The Guardian, Die Zeit, Handelsblatt, Le Monde, Tagesspiegel, Stern, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Süddeutsche Zeitung, ARD-Tagesschau, BBC, CNN, CNBC, C-SPAN, Bloomberg Business, Fox News, Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, Politico, Fast Company, Business Insider, Forbes, Salon, The Nation, Washington Monthly and many others.
