Nicola Jentzsch
Data Economy Lead

Dr. Nicola Jentzsch is the Data Economy Lead of the Stiftung Neue Verantwortung (SNV) in Berlin. The SNV is an independent Think Tank devoted to societal challenges posed by technological change. Nicola is an economist who combines approaches of competition and behavioral economics in the area of ​​privacy and cybersecurity. She has been working on various topics of information and privacy economics for the past 15 years and currently works on competition in digital markets, data protection, and Big Data topics (including privacy metrics and guarantees). Nicola holds a doctorate in Economics from the Freie Universität Berlin and was a Research Fellow at Yale University and Georgetown University. In the past, she has served as adviser to the European Commission, the European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA), the World Bank and central banks in several African and Asian countries. She is the winner of a Google Research Award and published her research in international journals (iJIO, JEBO, JIMF, etc.).
