Since February 2017 Judith Simon holds the chair for Ethics in Information Technologies at the University of Hamburg. Before joining the University of Hamburg, she has been employed as a researcher in Copenhagen, Vienna, Paris, Karlsruhe and Berlin. Moreover, she was a visiting scholar at Stanford University, the University of Trento, the University of Ljubljana as well as the Artificial Intelligence Research Institute (CSIC-IIIA) in Barcelona. She holds a MA in psychology from the Free University Berlin and a PhD in philosophy from the University of Vienna. Judith serves on the editorial boards of "Big Data & Society" and "Philosophy & Technology" as well as on the executive boards on the "International Association of Computing and Philosophy" (IACAP) and the "International Society for Ethics in Information Technologies (INSEIT).
