5 Years MEDIA CONVENTION Berlin

For the fifth time, MEDIA CONVENTION Berlin (MCB) is taking place in cooperation with re:publica. MCB is organised by Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg (MBB) and Medienanstalt Berlin-Brandenburg (mabb). As one of Europe’s leading media congresses, the event addresses current media topics, sparks new ideas, and promotes a lively discourse. On two stages, decision-makers and opinion-shapers will discuss media and Internet policy issues, market trends, and developments of our digital media society.

The key question in 2018 will be how we – as individuals, within businesses, and at the market level – can deal with the uncertainty stemming from the dynamism of digital development: thus, what content, information and narratives will continue to reach people; what new business models are necessary for this; what underlying conditions are required, for example to preserve diversity of content and providers; what mechanisms lie behind the new trends and technologies; how the changes can be utilised; and how adaptation can be sensibly managed.

All re:publica attendees are invited to visit MEDIA CONVENTION 2018 and participate in the discussions on the MCB stages.
