Gerko Egert

Gerko Egert is a dance and theater studies scholar. He is a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute for Applied Theatre Studies, Justus-Liebig-University, Giessen. His research deals with philosophies and politics of movement, human and non-human choreographies, dance and performance, process philosophy and (speculative) pragmatism, especially in the work of Deleuze and Guattari. Gerko holds a PhD from Freie Universität Berlin. His publications include: “Movements of Touch in MAYBE FOREVER” in Touching and Being Touched ed. by Brandstetter, Egert and Zubarik (De Gruyter 2013) and “Berührungen. Bewegung, Relation und Affekt im zeitgenössischen Tanz” (Transcript 2016) and „Choreographing the Weather – Weathering Choreography (in: TDR, Summer 2016).
