Kristian Costa-Zahn arbeitet seit Februar 2018 als Director Creation & Innovation beim Digital Studio Endemol Shine Beyond. Zuvor arbeitete er 11 Jahre bei der UFA als Head of Creation UFA LAB und Produzent.

Kristian Costa-Zahn realisierte seit 2001 zahlreiche Bewegtbildprojekte. Er war unter anderem für die folgenden Online Video-, Crossmedia- und Virtual Reality-Projekte verantwortlich: das ZDF Transmedia-Projekt „Wer rettet Dina Foxx“, den preisgekrönten Motion Comic „Ewig Mein“, den Urban Culture YouTube-Channel „eNtR berlin“, den Food Channel „Munchies“, ein Joint Venture mit Vice, die Virtual Reality Experience „Virtual Testdrive“ für smart und K-MB, den begehbaren Spielfilm „Ein ganzes Leben“, das journalistische Facebook-Format „Jäger und Sammler“ und die Minecraft-Webserie „Antarktika“ für funk. Aktuelle Projekte bei der Beyond sind die dokumentarische Webserie „MeetSurfEat“ für ZDFkultur, die Branded Fiction Serien „unit.Y“ für Unitymedia und „Das sechste Element“ für KNSK und VCI, sowie mehrere Digital Video Kampagnen für die Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Seine Projekte gewannen zahlreiche nationale und internationale Auszeichnungen, unter anderem mehrfach bei den "New York Festivals", 3 Rockies beim "Banff World Media Festival", einen „ADC-Award“, zweimal „Best German Series“ beim Webfest Berlin und für „Dina Foxx - Deadly Contact“ erhielt er einen „International Emmy“. Zudem wurden seine Projekte 3 Mal für den Grimme Preis und 4 Mal für den Prix Europa nominiert.

Kristian Costa-Zahn has been working at Digital Studio Endemol Shine Beyond as Director Creation & Innovation since February 2018. Previously, he had worked as Head of Creation UFA LAB and producer at UFA for 11 years.

Kristian Costa-Zahn has realised many moving-image projects since 2001. Among others, he was in charge of the following online video, cross-media and virtual reality projects: the ZDF transmedia project “Rescue Dina Foxx!”, the award-winning motion comic “Ewig Mein” (“Forever Mine”), the urban culture YouTube channel “eNtR berlin”, the food channel “Munchies”, a Vice joint-venture, the virtual reality experience “Virtual Testdrive” for smart and K-MB, the accessible feature film “Ein ganzes Leben” (“A Whole Life”), the Facebook journalism format “Jäger und Sammler” (“Hunters and Gatherers”) and the Minecraft webseries “Antarktika” for funk. His current projects at Beyond are the documentary webseries “MeetSurfEat” for ZDFkultur, the branded fiction series “unit.Y” for Unitymedia and “Das sechste Element” (“The Sixth Element”) for KNSK and VCI as well as several digital video campaigns for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

His projects received numerous national and international awards, among others several awards at the New York Festivals, 3 Rockies at Banff World Media Festival, one ADC Award, two best German series awards at Webfest Berlin and an international Emmy for “Dina Foxx – Deadly Contact”.
