Jana Ahrens examines fashion items and situations of modern life. She writes and talks about aesthetic actions in specific social environments. She is less interested in beautiful things but in the beauty and complexity of their circumstances. Jana lives in Berlin and sometimes in Hamburg. Until 2013 she was employed as a designer in the fashion industry. Since then she turned to creating text instead of clothing. With the beginning of 2018 she took on the role of editor in chief for the upcoming lifestyle magazine Monda.
