Angelo Capossele
IoT data technologist

Angelo Capossele is a researcher interested in applied cryptography, Internet of Things, security and privacy. He received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from University of Rome "La Sapienza", Italy, in 2014 and contributed to these research topics with several publications in scientific leading venues and participation to European research projects.  He designed and developed security solutions focused on the protection of national critical infrastructures from cyber threats and collaborated with companies and research centers to design novel technologies supporting secure, cooperative and heterogeneous wireless networks for applications ranging from environmental and infrastructure monitoring, to healthcare, art and homeland security.  Currently, he is an IoT data technologist at Digital Catapult in London, which is partner of two European innovation programs: IoT European Platforms Initiative (IoT-EPI) and IoT European Large-Scale Pilots (IoT-LSP). He is exploring the role of blockchain technology on improving trust and transparency of smart cities operations, IoT data marketplaces, and management of personal data within the SynchroniCity and Personal Data Receipt projects.
